How did you wire the LC500 mirrors to the rcf? I see you have the base the mirror sits on connected as well.
These are not LC 500 mirrors. They are RCF mirrors. Everything is both on and plug and play the wiring is already in the doors and I already had the door modules and the computers and whatnot. The only thing that doesn't work because it was never an option in the United States is the autofold. So when I unlock the car they don't unfold I just have to push the mirror button to fold them and unfold them... Which in all reality is what I prefer.
Very nice
NSG - Do you have a link where I can purchase the MagSafe version? I tried to message over the CT forum but I’m blocked
If you have facebook I can be reached there. I'm a mod on all 3 main groups. I'm currently in Peru so once I get back next week I can put one together for you.
@@NewShockerGuy Perfect! Enjoy your travels and I’ll look forward to hearing back from you.
What are the top bright red lights for? How are they activated?
Those are the brake lights. They get activated when you push the brake pedal.
Your engine sounds badly, check your head gasket or EGR
It was because I started it before then shut it off before this video. This was the first time it's ever made that noise. Hasn't done it since. I'm assuming it was because there was moisture.
Would you happen to know the part numbers?
I can get you part numbers here shortly when I go home.
Love this. I’ll be ordering one.
Shame on Lexus for using normal bulbs in turn signals.
Did you have to change any wiring? Or is it just plug&play? Look awesome! Where did you manage to get get the rear trim garnish?
There's a how to on club Lexus and on CT200h forum for the wiring but the wiring does need to be changed but you're pretty much making a piggyback harness. So you're not changing the OEM main harness on the car itself but you're creating a piggyback harness that connects into the OEM harness that then plugs into the tail lights. But it involves roughly making about 16 ft or so going from the stock tail lights to the new hatch tail lights. The garnish I got from Bell Lexus in Arizona. You can order all parts from any Lexus dealer. The ultra white shows in the computer system as no longer being made and when Joe and Dan were able to source the last one in the United States for me... Your mileage may vary depending on the color that you need but in terms of ultra white they told me I got the last one.
love to do this someday but I have to first get my ranger to start normally with the key lol
It wasn't too bad of an install. Nothing compared to the new stuff that is out where you pretty much it's plug and play into the body control module. This actually had to splice into multiple places but looking at it now it's still completely worth it. I love rangers!
Wack only one light on each door
Yep, it is. But definitely better than no lights. The completely removed this feature from the face lfited RCFs for some stupid reason.
I found this video through an old post on Benzworld😂. I got the same sound when I start the car and it gets louder when I accelerate. You found out your issue ended up being ac compressor. I wanted to ask you did this whine noise happen regardless of whether you had the ac on or off?
Yeppers. It started as soon as the car started up. I suspect it was probably the bearings inside the pulley but rather than trying to pull the pulley off and replace that it was just way easier to replace the AC compressor. My w211 was recently making the same type of noise and I scoped it and it came from the alternator. The bearing on that was going bad internally and rather than rebuilding it I just bought a new alternator.
I actually have an alternator arriving today but after seeing your video the noise when you start and reverse into your driveway is uncanny so I had to chime in. I took off the serpentine and I still hear the same sound. Did having your ac on or off change or increase your issue? If you can remember. Thanks
@@nichtash599 If you took the belt off then nothing that was connected to the belt should be making those noises since nothing is spinning... Which makes me wonder if it's a different issue for you. Turning the AC on or off didn't matter It still made that noise because the pulley was spinning.
@@NewShockerGuyI guess I have more investigating to do, anyhow thanks for the reply!
Could u send link?
way too long and detailed to send here. Check out clublexus and ct200h forums. We have all the information posted there as well as facebook.
Where did you buy them I’m trying to get these for my CT aswell
Bell Lexus. Any dealer can get them for you. You need to change the rear hatch garnish piece. Depending on color it might or might not be available. I was able to buy the last ultra white one in the USA. Keep in mind this mod will be over $2,000 to do to do the conversion, but it looks so awesome.
Do you have video of install? Appears different from 2015-2019 models?
Nope no video. Just remove the rear tail light and then twist the socket change the bulb. Not sure on the preface lifted RCFs. Pretty sure there's videos or pictures in the Facebook groups and club Lexus
@@NewShockerGuy gotcha, I am doing this for a 2020 rc 350 and was confused on how the tailight comes out. I see a painted cover on the rear bumper and can’t find anything about if that’s the only bolt holding in the tailight.

I've got both sides power folding mirrors + the windows switch in the driver side with folding and auto mirrors + the outer mirrors control unit for my 2019 US specs RCF from 2015 gcc RCF everything worked fine except the auto folding with lock and unfolding with unlock. Any suggestions?
The auto won't work. It was never a feature that was in the ECU for USA spec cars. If you can find someone to code the car so that way the update the module then in theory it would work. i have yet to find anyone that can or will do it. No dealer even knows what I'm talking about. But if you use Techstream you can see in the window control module that AUTO fold, IS an option but it doesn't do anything. It needs to be in the main body ECM to be able to work. And more than likely that's not going to happen unless Lexus/Toyota code it into the non Rest of World (ROW) car...which they won't..lol
Mine was prettier ♥️
Bad ass 🤙🏽💙💙🏁🏁
What is this sound? Why this happened?
It was the OEM siren that was shorting out/going bad. I replaced with a new OEM Mercedes siren and the problem went away. Super easy to install.
Where can I find this?
I make it. Do you belong to any of the CT200h Facebook groups or online forums? I'm on there as well.

Hi @NewShockerGuy do you make these for the right hand drive and how much would it be including shipping to the UK
Which lighting kit is this?
It's the OEM led modules that were in the previous year RC/RCF's. Information is linked in the description to the thread I made with pictures.
@@NewShockerGuy can you link me to that?
@@marwanalaa9437 You're going to have to go to the Lexus parts website and then go to the door and body part catalog section. there's an OEM LED module keep in mind they're around $400 each would I ended up doing was just buying a complete door panel off eBay for 150 bucks taking the LED module out and selling the door panel. So in reality I got the modules for free pretty much. Look at the description in the video I have it linked to the club Lexus forum go there and there's more information.
You misspelled the word RCF.
Any install tips? I am doing the same thing, except to my 1996 F150. I installed the 2101 a couple months ago, now adding the 4003. Did you have to use all the wires in the 4003? As in, the door lock and unlock inputs, the factory alarm disarm/rearm wires? I don't have any factory alarm, so I'm trying to see if I can just cap those wires and not worry about them.
Go to the 12 volt forum site online and you can get all the pinouts for all the wires on the vehicle which is super convenient. I would have to look at my install stuff from years ago but I ended up doing a remote keyless entry before I before I did the remote start so I have two individual avital modules. Not difficult I would say the hardest part was getting wires from the engine bay into the cabin sneaking them through the grommet of course. But there's lots of info on the forums which are referenced to narrow down exactly which wires to tap And then also the instructions from avital. Love remote start though! I've installed one on every vehicle we have lol
Did it come with the car?
Nope not on face lifted models. 2019 and above it was eliminated. I retro fitted it.
Man thank you so much I’ve had my car for years and I’d givin up hope to find the problem it’s quite embarrassing driving around with that noise whining like that
How much did it cost to do this (if you don’t mind me asking) and where did you order the stuff from and get it to function?
Don't mind at all actually I plan on making a post here on Facebook Lexus group and on the RCF forums. I ordered them from Norway which is probably one of the most expensive countries you can get car parts for and or buy a car but luckily I have a friend there that helped facilitate a huge chunk of it he was pretty much my proxy. You need both the left and right mirror assemblies, with the corresponding options that your car has I believe you could probably buy just the lower motor and then swap over your entire top half of the mirror. However I wanted 100% plug and play solution. I did not want to risk at all taking apart a mirror in an possibly breaking something and then I'd be back in the same boat with trying to acquire a mirror. Each mirror was roughly $1,500. Then you need the driver side mirror control switch that was roughly $500. So just in parts you're looking at $3,500. Then to get them here it was around $500 to ship. The conversion rate from USD to their native currency had a charge and then I also had to pay taxes and duties on the items coming into the country. All said and done give or take roughly around $4,500.
@NewShockerGuy So is it just a plug and play mod or you had to activate this function through the OBD?
It's 100% plug and play. The only thing that will not work is the "Auto" button which in every other country when you lock the car the mirrors fold in, and when you unlock the car the mirrors fold out. This won't work because no USA spec RCF came with power folding mirrors so the option in the main body ECU is not there... it would somehow have to be coded to work. I've yet to find any place or person that can/will do it.
Where can i order the folding mirrors for my RCF do you know the website?.
They were ordered from an EU country, there was no website used. I had a friend order them from me from the dealer of the country that they reside in. You would need to contact a dealer in an European country that is LHD. You would need both side mirrors with whatever options are on your car (BSM, LKA, dimming, RCTA..etc) and you would then need the driver side control window switch. I paid roughly $4500 to have this all done. That includes the currency fee conversion, the customs duties/taxes, shipping, and the 3 OEM lexus parts. Each mirror was around $1,500, the mirror control switch was $500
Wait a 2020 lexus doesn't have this already?
It completely depends on the model unfortunately with Lexus... We don't get certain options in the United States compared to other countries. This was one of those things that was never offered in the United States with power folding mirrors. Kind of like how the GSF in the United States did not get a rear power sunshade or power trunk opener closer. The European models had the power rear sunshade and power trunk opener.
The best-sounding bike of this century! Those Whistle!
Really cool, do you know what part numbers Id need for this?
If you go to MBWorld.org and search for w211 power trunk retro fit, you'll find our threads with all the listed part numbers for the vehicle.
I wanna do this so badly
how does the stand stay upright when it's only supported by wheels???
It's a pitbull front handle stand so there's a handle that you can't see on the left side.

Hello NewShockerGuy, this was a very awesome mod on the RCF, I was wondering if the led lights were dynamic and that they changed when you put the car into drive and brighten up when you put the car back into park, my biggest concern would be that the LEDs would be too bright and distracting while driving. Keep up the good work.
Nope they do not dim down. Since there's no existing wiring in the 2020 RCF for the door ambient lighting that's not a feature that these would do. I did try wiring them in with the rest of the dimmer, however that kept the clock on. I was doing something that it was not designed to do. I wired it up via the automatic headlights or when you turn the headlights on. The good thing about this is the lights are not bright at all. My wife has a Lexus NX and when you put it in drive the ambient lighting goes almost down to nothing whereas in my car when you turn it on, it's nice illuminated glow. It's not distracting in the least at night which is my main goal. That was one of my concerns initially. That the light would be too distracting or too bright and it is not. The gauge cluster is 10 times more bright than the ambient lighting. And actually reading on the forums and on the Facebook groups the majority of people would actually prefer that the light stayed at the normal operating brightness when the car is in park when you put it in drive. They're not very happy that when you put it and drive it dims down to less than 50%. I get why Lexus did that however when you have manufacturers like Mercedes that the entire cockpit is lit up with different colors and brightnesses, this really is not distracting in the least. Hope that helps. If it was distracting in any way to me I would not keep it honestly. I'm pretty sensitive when it comes to night driving and things that would introduce glare or distractions I don't like since I travel long distances at night most of the time. This is a nice subtle glow.
@@NewShockerGuy thankyou for your response, you answered it perfectly! Much appreciated!

Go on to MB world and type in w-211 power trunk retrofit. It should take you to the e55/e63 form and you'll see I think probably in eight page thread of what is needed to do so. It cost me probably $5 or $600 for the parts and my time. Compare that to getting this option from the factory and spending thousands.
awesome! you nailed it! ;)
Thank you :-) Hope it helps others on the forum.
Hey man nice ambient lighting you got there on the doors. It's honestly so weird that the 2020 Lexus RC models have their door ambient lighting option removed whereas all the 2019s and before that had their door ambient lighting option available. Sneaky move there by Lexus😭
Thank you. I'm still pissed that Lexus removed this when ALL competitors have superior ambient lighting options.. Why on earth they would remove this is very silly. It's so nice looking at night too. The fact that they specifically made a plate to cover where the ambient lighting would have been is just proof they are trying to save $$$ on their end and remove nice features.. I am just extremely happy I was able to add it.
@@NewShockerGuy Hi, your RCF looks great…I also have a 20 RCF and was wondering if you have step by step directions on how I can install this ambient lighting feature? Is there a guide online? Interesting.... My 2017 doesn’t have this.
@@mc_era3 you should have it on your 2017. *2019 was the year that they removed it. By default Lexus has the brightest setting when you're in park when you put it in drive it dims down very dramatically.
